The Library Committee reviews and recommends policies for the Library, with particular attention to the collection budget and to the distribution of resources among academic divisions and units. The Library Committee provides a channel of communication between the Library and the faculty, staff, and students, while also assisting in the assessment and promotion of the Library’s alignment with the needs of the College community.

In today’s high-tech learning environment, the library as a primary learning resource is the fulcrum of support for the entire range of activities in an educational campus. In present knowledge based society, the library as an Information Resource Centre is an integral part of the education process and plays a pivotal role in promoting and improving the education standards, research and in overall development of the society.

To cater to the information requirements of the student and teaching staff in this electronic and digital era technically and psychologically.
To make student and teaching staff aware of information literacy through library.
To encourage wide reading habits through easy accessibility of reading materials, orientation, displays and exhibitions.
To assist and guide the student community with appropriate information that could lead them for the attainment or fulfilment of their goals.
To provide information resources necessary for research in the fields of interest of the academic staff.
To participate effectively in the college instructional programmes and assist the college in the achievement of the general educational objectives.
