BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES (B.M.S.)

Overview

A Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) is an undergraduate degree program. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assume management roles in a variety of organizations. It provides a solid foundation in organizational behavior and human resource management, while also allowing students to specialize in specific areas of interest through elective courses such as labor-management relations, negotiation, conflict resolution, compensation systems, and organizational development.[4] Additionally, this degree program provides insights into how organizations function, how they are managed, and their interactions with object-oriented programming using C++ and data structures in both national and international environments.

This programme enables students to develop advanced knowledge and skills in a range of business functions while setting them within the wider context of current business practice. In third year, students will study Organizational Strategy and they will have a choice of subjects from a list of options, based on their own interests and career aspirations. These options offer excellent opportunities to gain relevant work experience to prepare for their careers or add an international dimension to their undergraduate study.

Career Direction

"In 2009, 65% of graduates from BMS went into full-time employment approximately. 22% work in the commercial, industrial and public management sectors. Others found work as health professionals (14.8%), in retail (14.4%) and marketing (12.5%).
